Associate Membership in the Logistics Institute is open to any individual interested in belonging to the Logistics Institute’s growing global network, and pursuing continuing education and professional development opportunities with the Logistics Institute, upon payment of the Associate Membership fees.
APPLYING FOR ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
To apply for Associate Membership, you must
- Submit the Associate Membership Fee of $125, and
- Qualify by completing the self-directed online module: Logistics
- Access to the module is provided automatically at no extra cost, on submission of the associate membership fee
AFTER YOUR APPLICATION IS APPROVED:
Once you qualify for associate membership:
- you will be issued an e-certificate for your Associate Membership
- you will have the right to call yourself an Associate Member of The Logistics Institute

Once you have successfully completed the course, our team will process your application and issue a certificate of membership. Please allow for up to 5 business days’ processing time.
ABOUT THE MODULE
This is a self-directed online module, with 30 days’ online access provided to complete it. Your average time commitment for this module is 4 hours. A brief quiz must be completed at the end, with a passing score of 70%. Two attempts will be provided to pass the quiz.
This introductory module examines the meaning of logistics and its relevance to everyday life. It introduces logistics sub-sectors and their inter-connectedness: warehousing & distribution, traffic & transportation, purchasing, inventory management and control, and production materials movement. The module reviews, in detail, the process that a single item goes through from its raw material stage to its final distribution to the consumer.
MAINTAINING YOUR STATUS AS AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER
To maintain your status as an Associate Member annually, you must:
- enroll in any one professional development certification program listed here, or
- renew your associate membership @ $75 each year
The Logistics Institute has the mandate to foster business, trade and economic developments between and among supply chain logistics professionals to sustain global trade built on an even playing field, led by competent and ethical certified professionals, based on the fundamental conviction that global trade can only be sustained at the human level by practitioners and professionals who are capable of building trust.
