Simon Brown, Lead Facilitator for this program, engaged the group over four days in a series of tools and techniques to assist the participants in creating effective and transformational change implementation strategies. Using our typical experiential-learning format, participants applied these techniques to their individual projects in real-time and on the last day, all participants delivered a capstone presentation on their change projects, successfully earning the PCE. This program also enables participants to earn the P.Log by completing the Supply Chain Strategies module.
The PCE designation is a professional statement of competence in leading an organization or group of individuals through change, effectively transforming the journey. We look forward to hosting our next online session on September 19 – 22, 2022! Learn more and enroll today.
Logistics Institute Innovation Lab– University of Toronto / Rotman Collaboration
The Logistics Institute has partnered with the University of Toronto (UoT) to deliver a Supply Chain – Growth Strategy Consulting Project Course for the Rotman EMBA program at UoT. We are seeking members in a management role for students to interview. Please note that these are mature students with several years of managerial experience across a diverse range of industries and skill sets.
This summer, as part of their course work, student teams are taking on a supply chain industry challenge. Starting with a problem statement articulated by a company / sponsor (or a problem surfaced by the students themselves) the students will proceed through a “diagnostic phase” that includes immersing themselves in the problem (topic), understanding critical issues, identifying problem/solution sets (unique value propositions), understanding related business model issues, and finally defining and potentially experimenting with actions/tasks. Students will bring their unique lens’ and perspectives to these problems. The course culminates in a formal presentation/report in early August.
We’ve had a tremendous first response from company / sponsors articulating problem statements for students to work on. Many are related to growth challenges within the Freight, Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Warehouse and Reverse Logistics categories, Digitization / Automation, Organic and Acquisition Growth Strategies, Intellectual Property, 3PL Challenges, New Value Propositions, B2B and B2C Food Delivery, Demand Generation and Sustainability industries.
Students will be selecting their challenge at the end of May and then starting their ethnographic interviews, ideally with a range of industry managers. To that extent, we are currently seeking industry managers for students to interview on these and related topics. In terms of time commitment, interview candidates would be committing 1-2 hrs sometime in June (your participation in final presentations is optional).
